When school is out for summer, there is still plenty of time for science with the family.
Check out these science ideas.

Science begins with curiosity, and Brea is very curious about the things she is finding on the woodland floor.
Like many children, Brea is making a collection of curiosities, which often feature pebbles and pine cones, but here Brea has collected an owl feather and wood pigeon feather and put them in a plant pot.
Later she will go a step further and set up a curiosity box. You can find out about them if you go to:https://www.peterdriley.com/books-for-primary-schools/#curiosity-box-series
Perhaps find a book you would like to read, watch my video, and let your children make their own curiosity boxes.
You may also like to dive into the Archive of Science Education Ideas at: https://www.peterdriley.com/archive-of-science-education-ideas/
Explore the fourteen categories which range from Science Around Us to Patch on the Planet and field trips to the History of Science. There are also photograph galleries you can contribute to – the Natural World Photo Gallery and the Science Exhibition Gallery.
I hope you find something to keep your children interested in science over the holidays.
