Join Our Photo Gallery
On a previous website a few years ago, I set up a Natural World Photo Gallery where people from around the world could send in their photographs so we could all enjoy the wildlife around them. Contributions came from France, Slovenia, North America, Australia, South Africa, and even a picture taken from the air showing the landscape of Greenland.
On this new website, I have introduced the idea of a Patch on the Planet and have just received a photo from a patch in another part of the North of England.

It shows two children on their patch, delighting in the snowdrops that have just emerged.
This picture – and I hope it is the first of many from around the world – will go into the Natural World Photo Gallery in the What’s in Your Planet Patch section. The idea is to display pictures of plants and animals from around the world that people have taken on their phones. It is hoped that this will give us another way of looking at our planet and may even lead to setting up a map of patches to show how they all come together in our global setting.
If you would like to join in, simply snap some wildlife and send in the picture, along with roughly where you took it.

Thank you.
