Changing to Checkpoint?
A worldwide lower secondary science course

When you are changing science textbooks for your school, it is always a little unsettling, but it can be exciting too. I know because, as a science teacher for twenty-four years – most of them as the Head of Science at a large multicultural high school – I have been involved in a great deal of curriculum change.

Some of us were keen to develop a new course; others were more reticent and unsure, but in the end we produced a course which everyone – teachers, technicians, and students – could work comfortably with and achieve success.

Later, after winning the prestigious School Book Award for Science Secondary awarded by the TES and EPC*, I was invited to produce a Checkpoint science course which was endorsed by University of Cambridge International Examinations. In time this course was revised to bring it up to date, and I produced a second edition. More recently I have produced a third edition, this time endorsed by Cambridge Assessment International Education.

If you are thinking of changing science textbooks for your school, take a look at these books on below.
